Miami healthcare providers, especially in the Emergency Department, are on the front lines in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. They are quickly running out of personal protective equipment (“PPE”) which is necessary to protect their patients’ health and their own health, so they can continue caring for this enormous influx of patients. We are a student-run nonprofit organization aiming to ease the burden this pandemic is causing our health care providers by:

1. Collecting and distributing PPE donations

2. Creating PPE with 3D printers and formally distributing to hospitals

3. Directly assisting providers when they request help with errands or tasks at home

Contributing even a few PPE items will be invaluable to front-line workers who are currently rationing and reusing their limited supplies.

Throughout the world, individuals calling themselves “makers” learn together, educate others, and openly share their innovative ideas so that others can build on their innovations. These actions are leading to rapid improvements in tools such as 3D printers, the design of new products across all categories, and the creation of businesses and jobs.
